Month to Month

From September to October 2021, Mike Koslov and I launched a $25,000 crowdfunding campaign for our feature film, Month to Month. Using a combination of direct email outreach and social media campaigning (Facebook and Instagram), we were able to secure 247 contributions and beat our fundraising goal by 7%.

We partnered with Seed&Spark, a crowdfunding website built specifically for independent films and television shows, to create the main hub for our campaign.

We used the platform the explain the story and inspirations behind the project, how we planned to execute it, and how to support it (monetarily or not). We also created a pitch video to show off the look of the film.

We include a number of perks for contributors including social media shout outs, movie lists, and digital postcards.

We even offered to mow your lawn.

Social Media

Using Facebook and Instagram, we created content that showcased the progress of our campaign, highlighted news announcements related to the film, and brought fans of our film’s genre to our pages.

We also had a sticker giveaway to grow our followers.
